The festival is packed with music, dance, readings, workshops and exhibitions – Whether you are interested in music, dance, literature or visual arts, you are sure to find something to enjoy.

The festival commences on Saturday 26 August with Flamenco Fusion performed by Lorna Cochrane and her dance group ‘El Fuego de la Noche’ 12pm-12.30pm.

Launch of Launch of Out of the Blue ( book of Photography and Writing. Writing inspired by photographs taken during the lock down).

The second day of the festival will also see the launch of the book Writing the World: A Collective.

This book is the outcome of Creative Writing classes with Asylum seekers taught by Donna Campbell and Linda Jackson.

The book also has work by more established writers who have previously written about integration or worked with people from across the world.

Mark your calendars and make your way to the SCAP Summer Festival for two days of fun, learning, and entertainment from midday each day.

Doors open 11.30 a.m. with teas and coffee. There will be a bar on Saturday.

The charity SCAP (Seahorse Creative Arts & Publishing) was founded in 2021 by Dr Linda Jackson and was created for participants to enjoy and get involved in Arts and Culture and to celebrate the diversity of work that’s created in communities across Scotland.
