Byres Road Book Festival: Meet the Author: Niall O’Gallagher)(Fo Bhlàth)

Niall O’Gallagher is the author of three books of poetry: Beatha Ur (CLÀR, 2013), Suain nan Trì Latha (CLÀR, 2016) and Fo Bhlàth (CLÀR, 2020). His Selected Poems, with English translations by Peter Mackay and Deborah Moffatt, will be published by Francis Boutle of London in 2023. Described by Aonghas MacNeacail in the Herald as ‘an exciting, new, this time essentially urban voice’, Niall is a winner of the Wigtown Gaelic Poetry Prize, and in 2019 was named Bàrd Baile Ghlaschu, the City of Glasgow’s first Gaelic Poet Laureate.
This event will be chaired by Colin Herd, poet and creative writing tutor, University of Glasgow.
