Been So Long GFT
Friday, 23 November, 2018
Presented by Birds’ Eye View’s Reclaim The Frame project; a mission to bring ever-greater audiences to films by women to build a more balanced film future. This exclusive theatrical one-off is your only chance to see this film on the big screen in Glasgow. Directed by Tinge Krishnan, adapted from Ché Walker’s hit stage play and retaining Arthur Darvill’s original songs, Been So Long is a contemporary musical set on the streets of London, bathed in neon and enriched with romantic possibilities. Michaela Coel (TV’s Chewing Gum) and Arinzé Kene (reprising his role from the Young Vic theatre production) lead an all-singing and dancing ensemble populated by a wealth of homegrown talent.
Followed by a Q&A with Tinge Krishnan, producers Nadine Marsh-Edwards and Amanda Jenks and actors Arinzé Kene and Ronke Adekoluejo. Hosted by Birds’ Eye View’s Mia Bays and Jo Duncombe.
