Sonnet Youth at The Drygate, 21 February, 2018
Sonnet Youth is a spoken word house party. A literary rave. A real life piss up in a brewery – bringing together poets, authors, rappers, comedians and musicians for a night of no holds barred performances.
And for the first time Sonnet Youth will now take place in Glasgow and Edinburgh!
Curated and hosted by Kevin P. Gilday – Writer & Spoken Word Artist andCat Hepburn – Writer & Spoken Word Artist, our first double header is a treasure trove of cultural gems:
– Man of the moment Loki the Scottish Rapper performing a live interpretation of his best selling book Poverty Safari.
– Award winning Canadian slam champion Andre Prefontaine.
– Surreal short story writer and master of social weirdism, Chris McQueer – Writer.
– Anti-folk troubadour and legendary banter merchant Chrissy Barnacle.
– Outrageous stand up from mould breaking comedian Amelia Bayler.
AND
