New Work by Rachel Hook, Project Ability, Trongate, 8 July – 12 August, 2017

Project Ability is proud to present ‘New Work’ by Rachel Hook in Gallery II this summer.(2017)
This exhibition coincides with their annual Young Talent exhibition, which showcases work by all of the project’s young artists – Rachel Hook has been chosen to exhibit a selection of her newest work in a solo show. As a Create artist who has shown an impressive commitment to her art practice and has created a huge body of work over the last twelve months, Rachel has proven herself to be a dedicated artist with a never ending desire to make art!
Working mainly with pens on paper, Rachel’s work is all about colour and mark making. Structured compositions of colourful scribbles adorn the paper and become a type of abstract landscape. One can almost imagine them as a computer game or fantasy world with candy coloured fences, sink holes, ladders, mountains, rivers and more. They are beautiful and fun pieces and together they will bring an original and uplifting splash of colour and form ProjectAbility’s Gallery II. Congratulations Rachel!
Opening: Saturday 08 July, 1pm-3pm
The exhibition runs until 12 August, 2017.
