In the 1970s Gary Numan was one of the world’s biggest-selling artists with a sound that had never been heard before. However, the same thing that fuelled his ambition, informed his music and dictated his image also brought problems. Not much was known about Asperger’s syndrome at the time, and when the press labelled him a freak, Numan became depressed, anxious and out of touch. However when Numan met his biggest fan he not only rediscovered his passion for music, but also found the love of his life.
