Winner of five Academy Awards, and one of the highest-grossing films of all time, David Lean’s 1965 epic romantic drama is an astounding adaptation of Boris Pasternak’s Nobel Prize-winning novel. The film covers the October Revolution, seen through the eyes of poet/physician Yuri Zhivago (Omar Sharif), who despite being married carries on an affair with Lara (Julie Christie), who is herself married to revolutionary Pasha (Tom Courtenay).
