Wildlife Talks and Workshops

At Fred Paton Centre (19 Carrington St, Glasgow G4 9AJ) Woodlands Community Garden (91-111 West Princes Street, G4 9BY)
12.30pm – 3pm Dragons in Your Garden
Join Froglife at Fred Paton centre to learn more about the world of amphibians and reptiles, we’ll then take a trip to the garden to see how we can make improvements for them there. Places are limited for the talk so please arrive a bit early to avoid disappointment. The workshop will be in the garden from approx. 2pm – feel free to join in and bring along a medium terracotta pot if you have one,

3.30pm – 4.30pm Giving Nature a Home with Plantlife
Join Plantlife to learn about making room for nature however small your outdoor space. This will be in Woodlands Community Garden.

4.30pm – 5.30pm Batty about Bats
Learn more about these amazing creatures and join in with some fun games to ‘see’ the world from their perspective! Fred Paton Centre.

6pm – 7pm Bug Hunt
Join Buglife in the garden to look for some of the amazing creatures living there. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

7pm – 9pm Marvellous Moths & Brilliant Bats
Join Buglife in the garden to spot night-time’s hidden mini-world of bugs and visit our per-prepared moth bars, where hopefully they’ll have come along for an evening drink! The Bat Conservation Trust will run a short walk to listen out for any local bats …

at Woodlands Community Garden

A new take on our Harvest Festival this year we’ll have lots
of fun happenings, including in the garden:

1 – 3pm Natural Percussion Instrument Workshop
1 – 3pm Drop-in Story-making Workshop
2 – 3pm Juggling with Nature; practical circus skills
3 – 4pm Sounds from Nature Choir and the Joyous Choir
4 – 5pm Storytelling performance and Poetry

PLUS
Soundscape Installation – in the Bird Hide
Wormery Workshop
Live Music from the Moorhens
Stalls, tea, coffee and home baking

And in the gap site next to the garden (1 – 4pm):
Fantastic Fresh Food
Smoothie Making Bike
Bike Powered Music
Bio-diverse Poems and Artwork Display
