To celebrate BFI Flipside’s release of the much-loved That Sinking Feeling on DVD/Blu-ray we are delighted to host this special screening. Filmed in the late 1970s on the streets of Glasgow with a largely amateur cast, Bill Forsyth’s debut movie is a hilarious and inventive low-budget masterpiece about an attempted heist to rob a sink factory. Digitally remastered and with the original dialogue restored, the film hasn’t looked this good in years.
This screening will be introduced by Douglas Weir of the BFI and some of the cast members.
