Art in the Gart and Projectability – Exhibition
19 October, 2026 – 1 September, 2027, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Gartnavel Royal Hospital
1055 Great Western Road
Glasgow G12 0XH

The Gartnavel Royal Hospital will host a colourful and inspirational exhibition of artwork by artists from Project Ability’s ReConnect studios and in-patients, created in response to the theme of Reflections.
Each year Art in the Gart and Project Ability team up to present an exhibition in the Gartnavel Royal Hospital. This partnership has flourished over the years, with artworks made by artists from Project Ability’s ReConnect studios, and artists who are in-patients at the Gartnavel Royal.
Working with a Project Ability arts tutor, in-patients are given the opportunity to be included in the exhibition, which adorns the walls for the remainder of the year, adding colour and inspiration to the halls of Gartnavel Royal.
Working with the theme of Reflections, the exhibition allows each artist to express themselves uniquely, within one unified theme.

Our Power is a Mental Health Foundation project exploring the mental health impact of racism, particularly racist microaggressions, through creative peer support workshops.
People with lived experience of racism have created artworks over the past year using textiles, poetry, ceramics, screen printing, drawing and painting. They have co-curated this exhibition to convey their everyday experience with the most impact.
