Historian GORDON URQUHART will discuss the development of the often-overlooked neighbourhoods of Broomhill and Balshagray, from ancient estates to the early Victorian villas of local shipbuilders, and from Edwardian tenements to the devastation wrought by postwar expressway and tunnel works.
