The Pond gets a new chef: Tom Devlin has joined the hotel from Glasgow's La Bonne Auberge September, 2008. Watch out for the new menus.
I've been along to the Glasgow Pond Hotel a few times recently. Recently refurbished, it is very stylish, comfortable and welcoming. A super place to hang out and do a little work - free Wifi and lovely Costa Coffee add to the attraction. The staff are very friendly and there are nice cosy areas plus a lovely dining room so good place to meet friends for coffee or lunch. Their lovely Brasserie Restaurant is proving very popular with visitors, locals and staff from the nearby hospitals - very convenient for dinner after work and a super place to take the family.

Previously owned by Jury's Hotel, it is now part of Portland Hotels, one of Scotland's most respected Hotel Group. They have refurbished the hotel to a very high standard and it re-opened in 2006. It offers superb accommodation for visitors to Glasgow, who will find this a most convenient location - situated next to Glasgow's bustling West End, where there is so much to do and see. It is also very near the City Centre, which is just a short bus ride away and handy for Glasgow Airport - a 20 minutes taxi ride.
