Saturday Morning Fun at the Mews

You will find a large and exciting selection of children's books for all ages from babies to teens. Jill Montgomery, the young owner, has pulled together an impressive range of books for children of all ages - from babies to teens. These include 'touchy-feely' books for babies, beautiful picture books, which make wonderful gifts and popular fiction for older readers. Plus many more in between!

The main aim behind Matilda's is to make buying books an enjoyable experience for both kids and adults. The atmosphere is relaxed and people can feel comfortable taking their time choosing a book or simply browsing for a long as they need. If the book you want isn't there, it can be ordered with next day delivery! The shop has a personal feel and staff will always be happy to answer any queries. If you are uncertain about choosing a book they will be available to assist you and thye love recommending books for all ages and interests.

The first of these will feature Julia Donaldson 'author of the gruffalo' with a mini-show and signing which includes story telling and singing. This is bound to be great fun and everyone is welcome.

Storytelling

It is a lovely shop to pop into and is sure to become a favourite place of both children and parents. In addition to buying books you will also be able to find a cosy corner with a bean bag, where the children can read till their hearts are content! There will be storytelling hours when children can come and listen to Matilda's story of the week and spend the remainder of the time having a look at any other books of interest.

Damselfly craf workship at Damselfly crafts - half hour £3 per child or £4 per hour
Starts Saturday 4th February then running every other Saturday thereafter - 10.30 a.m.
