For this Pride month, Visible Cinema is delighted to screen Encounters Queer Joy film programme, a selection of shorts celebrating the moments of joy that members of the LGBTQI+ community are often denied on and off screen. These films envision a world in which people can freely explore the wider range of their own identities. They will be joined by Eleanor Capaldi (she/her), aGlasgow based writer/director with an interest in queer storytelling.
Her short film Glue, was nominated for Best of British at Queer Vision Film Festival, in association with Iris Prize and Encounters. She is a member of the EIFF Talent Lab, and a mentee on the GFF New Talent Mentorship Scheme. Eleanor will be making a ‘Tiny Little Picture’ with GMAC this summer.
This screening is presented in partnership with Encounters Film Festival.
