The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe review by Danielle O’Neill

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at Theatre Royal, Glasgow – March 2022
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is a childhood favourite of mine and this production did not disappoint. We were transported to the time of WW2 evacuations, to the elderly Uncle’s house then to the magical world of Narnia seamlessly. The set productions were not grandiose but this added to the charm and meant attention was not detracted from the performers. The performers were multi faceted and them playing the instruments themselves was a triumph, demonstrating layers of talent and creativity from the cast.
It was a truly joyous show to watch and to quote my 10 year old daughter- ‘absolutely amazing!’. The characters ability to draw you in completely made us forget we were even in a theatre and were instead truly immersed in the story.
5 stars 👌🏻. I highly recommend it to young and old alike.
