Until 19 October, 2023
Glasgow Film Theatre, 12 Rose Street, G3 5RB
William Friedkin‘s timeless landmark of horror follows 12-year-old Regan MacNeil as she begins to adopt an explicit new personality. Strange events befall the local area of Georgetown as her mother becomes torn between science and superstition. In a desperate bid to save her daughter, she ultimately turns to her last hope: Father Damien Karras, a troubled priest who is struggling with his own faith.
Part of GFT’s forthcoming Halloween season, it’ll be screening alongside 1980s classic Friday the 13th, Disney’s Hocus Pocus, a theatrical version of The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde with a special Q&A and a double-bill of Dracula and Frankenstein on Halloween. On Sunday there will be a full day of frights with All Day Horror Madness.
