19 September, 2023
Cottiers Theatre, 93 – 95 Hyndland Street, Glasgow G11 5PU
Fresh from the sold out run of his play, ‘In One Eye, Out The Other’ in 2022, Tadhg returns to his spiritual home of Glasgow with his very first stand-up show. Tadhg’s political comedy sketches, including ‘Brexit, but it’s a houseshare in Cork’, have amassed millions of views online, the acclaim of esteemed comedians, journalists and academics all over the world, as well as a sprinkling of death threats. Join him on his very first stand-up tour and hear him ráiméis about dysfunctional families, fatherhood, colonialism and of course his raison d’être: trying to break up the United Kingdom through the unusual medium of comedy.
WARNING: show likely to descend into a sing song.
“Sharp & funny, like an errant rake” – Chris O’ Dowd
“Dangerously funny” – James O’ Brien (LBC radio)
“Hickey is a mesmerising performer” – Broadway World 5*
“Outstanding physical and comedic performer” – The Scotsman
“I’d rather glue my ballbag to a cement mixer” – a Loyalist
