Scott Pilgrim vs The World at GFT
Late Night Film – Friday 5 May, 2023 11 p.m.
Edgar Wright‘s feverish, genre-bending adventure follows garage-rock bass guitarist and unlikely hero, Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). When he falls for the dreamy Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), he finds he must battle an onslaught of Evil Exes who will stop at nothing to eliminate him from her list of suitors.
Double Bill
Scott Pilgim vs. the World will be screening alongside Nida Manzoor‘s Polite Society. Gloriously influenced by Edgar Wright, Manzoor weaves vibrant Bollywood splendour with spectacular fight scenes in this super-stylised coming-of-age action comedy. After going down a storm at Glasgow Film Festival’s closing gala, GFT is delighted to welcome Polite Society back to GFT from Friday 28 April until Thursday 11 May, including a screening before Scott Pilgrim on 5 May at 8:35pm – the perfect double bill!
