Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda at GFT
Sunday 23 & Wednesday 26 July, 2023
Glasgow Film Theatre’s CineMasters: Ryuichi Sakamotoseason comes to a close with Coda. One of the most important artists of our era, Sakamoto‘s prolific career spanned four decades, from techno-pop stardom to Oscar-winning film composer. Following the Fukushima disaster in 2011, Sakamoto also became an iconic figure in Japan’s social movement against nuclear power. Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda is an intimate portrait of both the artist and the man.
