Life Is Sweet
Sunday 5th and Wednesday 8th January, 2025
Mike Leigh’s award-winning bittersweet comedy features a dazzling ensemble performance from screen titans Alison Steadman, Jim Broadbent, Timothy Spall, Claire Skinner and Jane Horrocks.
Just north of London live Wendy (Steadman), Andy (Broadbent), and their twenty-something twins, Natalie (Skinner) and Nicola (Horrocks). Wendy clerks in a shop, Andy is a cook who forever puts off home remodeling projects, Natalie is a plumber and Nicola is jobless. This film is about how they interact and play out family, conflict and love.
