In Diamond Square GFT

Set during the Second Republic and the Spanish Civil War, In Diamond Square tells the story of a young woman called Colometa’s struggles in Barcelona before, during and after the war. Adapted from the celebrated 1962 novel La Plaça del Diamant by exiled Catalan author Mercè Rodoreda, the film follows Colometa’s progression from almost complete submission to personal maturity and independence.
Screening as part of the Catalan Film Festival.
