Die My Love at GFT
13 – 20 November, 2025
Lynne Ramsay’s blistering depiction of a woman engulfed by love and madness, featuring stunning performances from Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson.
A hopeful young and loving couple (Grace and Jackson) move from New York to an inherited house in the country. Grace tries to find her identity with a new baby in the isolated environment. Yet as she begins to unravel, it’s not in weakness but imagination, strength and a stunning untamed vivacity that she discovers herself anew.
Why they love it at GFT:
“A visceral and sensory experience from Lynne Ramsay. Disconcerting sound design is prominent, along with frankly jaw-dropping cinematography by Seamus McGarvey – some of the images of Lawrence outside the house at night time are beautiful and terrifying. Lawrence’s incredible performance, along with Ramsay’s unerring sense of details and atmosphere, make for many moments that are unforgettable. The film gets at a feeling of disconnect where it’s just not possible for the person who feels it to put it into words – and being where they are at, why would they try?” – Paul Gallagher, Head of Programme
