Winner of the Audience Award at Venice Film Festival, Georgia Oakley’s outstanding character study follows Jean, a lesbian PE teacher in Newcastle, who is forced to live a double live under Section 28. Featuring stunning photography, pitch-perfect costuming and a standout central performance from Rosy McEwen, Blue Jean is one of the best British debuts of recent years.
