Amanda at GFT
Friday 2 – Thursday 8 June, 2023
Carolina Cavalli’s darkly comic feature debut follows Amanda, who has returned home to Italy and her family after studying in Paris. She decides to seek out an old friend whose agoraphobia has kept her mostly inside since they were last in contact. The combination of both women’s neuroses only accentuates her desire to rekindle the friendship, even if it’s a situation that no one seems likely to profit from. Visually vibrant and filled with Cavalli’s offbeat humour.
