A Bunch of Amateurs at GFT
29 and 30 November, 2022
Members of a quintessentially British working-class amateur filmmaking club, the Bradford Movie Makers, grow old together amid flickering memories and challenging final years. Clinging to their dreams, and to each other, fuelled by endless cups of tea, this gently comedic, profoundly moving portrait of shared artistic folly speaks to the escapist dreamer in us all and to the enduring power of face-to-face time together, in an increasingly lonely, digital age.
