The Hangar: Psychedelic Paisley with The Primevals
30 January, 2026, 7 p.m.
Paisley Arts Centre, Arts Centre, 15 New St, Paisley PA1 1EZ
The Primevals + DJ Chris Geddes (Belle & Sebastian) + Radhika
Step into The Hangar for an evening of swirling sounds, fuzzed-out guitars, and deep psychedelic vibrations.

The Primevals
The Primevals — Glasgow’s legendary garage rockers — formed in 1983 and forged their sound from the raw energy of the MC5, Gun Club and Sun Ra’s cosmic spirit. With countless releases under their belt, including their recent Best of the BBC Sessions LP (capturing Peel, Janice Long and Andy Kershaw sessions from 1985–87), the band brings decades of uncompromising rock’n’roll energy to this special psychedelic showcase. Turn on, strap in, flop out.
On the decks, DJ Chris Geddes (Belle & Sebastian) will take you on a mind-expanding journey through psychedelic sounds old and new. A founding member of Belle & Sebastian and a prolific musician with projects including Snowgoose, Gulp, and Youth of America, Chris brings his deep record collection and impeccable taste to the floor. Expect fuzzy guitars, hypnotic rhythms, and the occasional cosmic curveball from one of Scotland’s most adventurous selectors.
‘The Hangar’ is a monthly event curated by musicians Sushil K Dade (The Soup Dragons / Future Pilot AKA) & Radhika, bringing together Scotland’s alternative artistic community for a multi-arts celebration of music, art, and unexpected collaborations. Each night will feature special guests and exclusive performances that inspire and challenge the way we experience art.
