Freshers (and everyone), welcome for Freshers Equinox celebration to mark the approaching Autumn.

Enjoy a range of activities that build community, nourish and connect people to nature and one another. From seed saving, to mending clothes, cycling and visiting  Anti-Racist Library at Woodlands Garden – there is something for everyone to enjoy! Volunteer Led Bike Ride with Amy and Kyle (Beginner/Intermediate). Adults 18+

FREE, donations welcome

21 September 9:45-11:15am

A beginners’ ride for people who can cycle and are looking to build their confidence. Cycling a mixture of roads, park paths and segregated cycle paths, you will travel from Woodlands through Kelvingrove Park to the Govan Bridge by the Transport Museum.  Then retrace the route back to Woodlands, where you can join the Fresher’s Equinox event, visit the garden and the Anti-Racist Library. The full route is about 4 miles long, and the ride will last approximately one hour.

Limited amount of bikes and helmets can be loaned out to cyclists. Please check your bike is in good working order if bringing your own bike. Please be on time!

  • An apple celebration featuring vegan bakes using apples grown in our Community Garden.

  • Garden and craft activities. With special pop up stall from Hamshya from Glasgow Seed Library

  • A clothes swap, *bring a clean pre-loved item to swap!
