The Last Showgirl
March 14 – 20 March, 2025
When the glittering Las Vegas revue she has headlined for decades announces it will soon close, glamorous showgirl Shelly (Pamela Anderson) must reconcile with the decisions she’s made and the life she has built as she plans her next act whilst also striving to repair the relationship with her daughter (Billie Lourd). With an outstanding ensemble cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song and Kiernan Shipka, The Last Showgirl is a joyous tribute to a long-gone Las Vegas – and all the women who made it glitter.
Directed by Gia Coppola and featuring a Golden Globe-nominated performance from Pamela Anderson, who dazzles in the role of a lifetime, this film of resilience, rhinestones and feathers is simply unmissable.
“If Darren Aronofsky’s THE WRESTLER was directed by Sean Baker, then you might get something a bit like THE LAST SHOWGIRL. Anchored by a truly wonderful lead performance from Pamela Anderson and surrounded by an all-star cast featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista and Billie Lourd, you will find yourself falling in love with these characters as you dive into this intimate portrait of humans just trying to do their best set against the neon lights of Las Vegas.” – Chris Kumar, GFF Programme Coordinator
