Meet Me At Boots Corner

27 – 30 March, 2025, 7.30 p.m.
Websters Theatre, 416 Great Western Road, Glasgow G4 9HZ
Kiss or Diss?
Boots Corner. Where Argyle met Renfield and star-crossed lovers waited for Cupid to shoot its bow…leaving them dizzy in love…but more often than not, with a “Dissy”!
The iconic Boots Corner is brought back to life. The legendary meeting place for Glasgow’s love’s young dream. From first date..to the dancehall floor, in their search for something more.
It’s 1974 and Abba is Top of The Pops. But will this date be her “Waterloo”? Join Linda, Una and Vi…Our “L.U.V.” birds- as they navigate their way round Glasgow’s dancehalls, dancing round handbags and and some not-so-handsomes and winching a few Adonises on some Apollo nights. When music & dance were King & Queen…Girls and Glam Rock…Head over heels. Or just falling off their heels?
Will our lovelorn lassies fall head over heels-or just fall off their heels? Will they make it from Boots Corner to Beaverbrooks? Engagement ring or break-up sting?
A hilarious throwback to those halcyon days- full of the Sounds of the 70s, everything from Abba to T-Rex and so many more…
From the writer who brought you “Dancing with The Devil”, “Clatty Pats-Walk a Glaswegian” and last year’s smash hit “The Provy Wummin”
Performances also at 2pm on the 29th & 30th March.
