Kicking off the 2024-5 film season in the club is Scrapper. A 2023 comedy drama. This is Charlotte Regan’s feature film debut. Winner of the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
Since her mother died, Georgie has been living alone. Hiding her situation from social services and living on her wits and petty crime to survive.. Only her best friend, Ali, knows the truth. Georgie’s life is thrown into further disarray when Jason, her estranged father, arrives unexpectedly. Jason forces his way into the home and threatens to reveal Georgie’s secret to the social services..
