Set around Christmas in New York, Stanley Kubrick‘s final film Eyes Wide Shut is the ultimate alternative festive film.
One night, after attending an eventful Christmas party, Alice Harford (Nicole Kidman) tells her husband Bill (Tom Cruise) that she has had fantasies of being with other men. Shaken by this admission, Bill heads into the New York night on an obsessive journey of self-discovery that will take him into the dark underbelly of high society.
