Zero Waste Sunday Social – fast fashion and textile waste
Sunday 28 February, 2021 – 3 p.m.
Woodland Community – Online
Waste is a huge problem for our local and global environment. Most of our waste goes to landfill and creates harmful greenhouse gasses – CO2 and methane – which contributes to global warming accelerating climate change as well as the plastic particles polluting our soil and water.
But it doesn’t have to be like this – there are many ways to reduce the amount of stuff each of us as individuals discards every day – reducing what we get in the first place; re using what we already have; and recycling.
If this is something that worries you and you want to be part of the solution in a friendly and informal group – why don’t you join us for our zero waste sunday social – bring a cake to eat and a hot drink and together we can find practical answers to clean up our streets and help tackle climate change.
