Seeking funds for her orphanage in India, Isabel (Michelle Williams) travels to New York to meet with Theresa (Julianne Moore), a wealthy benefactor. When Theresa and her husband invite Isabel to their daughter’s wedding, their seemingly unconnected worlds collide in an unexpected and deeply emotional journey that will alter each of the characters’ lives forever.
