After fleeing his home planet Cybertron, a young Autobot finds refuge hiding as a Volkswagen Beetle in a junk yard. 20 years later, Charlie Watson is celebrating her 18th birthday when she is given the car as a present. In her attempts to fix the car, the Autobot reveals himself and she names him Bumblebee. However, despite her best efforts to hide her new friend, the Decepticons are watching….
