Adapted from James Fenimore Cooper’s famous novel, this 1920s silent film of “The Last of the Mohicans” is the story of two sisters at the fort commanded by their father Colonel Munro on the violent American colonies frontier. With tragic consequences their lives become intertwined with two rival native American Indians. Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist David Allison has created a number of successful live soundtracks for silent films, including “The Island Tapes” and “The St Kilda Tapes” which toured internationally and sold out at festivals such as Celtic Connections.
In addition he created a new soundtrack for the 1923 horror classic “Nosferatu” as part of the Glasgow Film Festival at GFT.
