In every culture dramatic life events happen around the table – but perhaps nowhere more than in Spanish countries. Cinemaattic’s back with the finest independent films from Spain and Latin American countries
Is a table really just a piece of furniture? Cinemaattic want to see how most of our daily routines and exceptional news are received at a table.
We present six stories around the table. An unemployed woman claiming benefits, a relationship stuck in stupid arguments, families pretending to be happy, a terrorist and his direct victim’s wife, teens and academic dismissals, first dates and yes! They all happen around a table.
These are all award-winning shorts, and you’ll understand why. They were praised in Cannnes, Seminci, Toronto… We have included in the same night precious minimalist love stories, jet black comedy and tales on the Basque conflict.
