The Girl With All The Gifts, GFT Friday 23 until Thursday 6 October 2016

Thrilling British zombie film adapted from Mike Carey’s best selling novel.
Until Thursday 6 October
Running time: 1h51m
This British action thriller takes its cue from the gritty apocalyptic visions of 28 Days Later and Children of Men, and is written by Mike Carey, adapting his own bestselling novel. In a near-future UK a vicious disease has emaciated the population, turning its victims into flesh-eating zombie-like beings. The girl of the title is Melanie, one of a group of children who have been found to be immune, who goes on the run with a teacher, a soldier and a scientist after their safety is compromised. Newcomer Sennia Nanua heads up a brilliant cast including Paddy Considine, Glenn Close and Gemma Arterton.
The screening on Mon 26 Sep (18.00) will be introduced by film critic Alistair Harkness as part of Contemporary Cinema Course.
