To celebrate the release of Versus: The Life and Films of Ken Loach, on Sunday 5 May, cinema-goers are invited to pay-what-they-can for this matinee screening. Audiences coming to see the film at GFT, as well as at 42 other cinemas nationwide, are invited to pay-what-they-can at a collection box by the box office on the day of the screening.
Featuring interviews with Ken Loach, as well as friends and collaborators including Cillian Murphy, Gabriel Byrne and Paul Laverty, Versus not only documents Loach’s work but also provides a playful look at the processes and struggles that have shaped his unique career.
Tickets will be available on a first-come-first-served basis, only on the day of the screening. Paul Brannigan (star of Loach’s The Angel’s Share) will be doing an intro before the screening.
This initiative is supported by Dogwoof with the backing of the BFI Distribution Fund.
