Chamber Music In the Round at The Drake
The last in this season’s highly successful series of Chamber Music in the
intimate setting of the upstairs drawing room at The Drake.
This concert features another of Haydn’s late String Quartets, Debussy’s beuatiful string quartet and a repeat of a short work by Scottish Composer James MacMillan
The musicians perform “In the Round”, providing an experience of the music that is intensely personal and involving.
Haydn: String Quartet Opus 77, No. 1
MacMillan “Memento”
Debussy String Quartet in G Minor
The musicians will be:
Kirsty Orton and Frances Pryce – Violins
Mary Ward and Shelagh McKail – Violas
Marie Connell – Cello
