Food to Go Project Ability
Trongate 103, G1 5HD
Saturday 28 November – 22 December, 2015
Everyone on your Christmas list can be ticked off with a visit to this year’s annual fundraiser exhibition at Project Ability. We celebrate the holiday season with sweet, savoury, classical and comforting artworks all to do with our love of food. We will be adorning the gallery with artworks from Project Ability artists from our Create, Aspire and ReConnect workshops, alongside submissions from artists outwith Project Ability.
Food has long been the subject matter for many a still life throughout the history of art. We make our mark on this tradition by celebrating food in our own style, offering visitors a vast array of artworks to make your mouth water. There will be paintings, drawings, prints, ceramics, sculpture and more for sale in our gallery from the 28th November to 22nd December, turning Project Ability into your one stop Christmas shop!
Food to go… is presented by Project Ability as an inclusive platform for artists with different lived experience to come together to celebrate their creativity and, in this case, their love of food. The holiday season is a great time of year to show your support for the work we do by admiring and/or purchasing truly unique artworks for your friends and family. We support the artistic adventures and aspirations of children and young people with disabilities, people with mental ill-health and people with learning disabilities.
Opening Saturday 28 November, 1 – 4pm
Late night shopping and evening reception Thursday 3 December 6 – 8pm.
28th November – 22 December, Tuesday – Saturday 10am-5pm
