A full game of Test Cricket takes five days to play and is the purest form of the sport. However, it is in danger of being ousted in favour of its shorter, more financially viable cousin ‘Twenty20’. In this film, two fans join forces to try to save the sport they love; finding out how money has corrupted the sport of gentlemen along the way. This is a modern morality tale about a future where sport and money collide, and a final call that says if you care about something that is in danger, you need to do something about it.
Introduced by Neil Clitheroe – a ‘slow’ fast bowler and even poorer batter. He discovered Death of a Gentleman on Test Match Special this summer and wanted to bring the film to cricket fans in Glasgow.
