From BAFTA award-winning director Asif Kapadia (Senna), Amy tells the incredible story of six-time Grammy-winner Amy Winehouse. Completely comprised of archive footage from chat shows and award ceremonies, as well as private videos, the documentary attempts to tell Amy’s story from her own perspective. Encouraging audiences to interpret the footage without the direction of talking heads, this moving and vital film offers an alternative to the version of events that has saturated the media since her death. A captivating, emotional and honest examination of a story we think we know.
