Pressure, GFT, Mon 23 and Tues 24 February, 2015
Four men. Claustrophobia. Paranoia. Incarceration. Survival. Pressure is about all these things and more as four deep-sea divers become trapped in their saturation bell at the bottom of the ocean off the Kenyan coast. Starring Matthew Goode and Danny Huston , the film is reminiscent of existential no-escape thrillers like Solaris, 127 Hours or Apollo 13. A taut and propulsive piece of filmmaking that pits man against man, as each minute inches them closer to their fate at the hands of the ocean’s terrifying expanse.
Director Ron Scalpello attends to present the UK Premiere of his second feature alongside co-writer and actor Alan McKenna, on Mon 23 Feb (20.40).
