London Short Film Festival Artistic Director Philip Ilson is in Glasgow to introduce a Best of LSFF 2014 programme at Glasgow Film Theatre at 7.15pm. Join him beforehand in CCA’s Clubroom for an informal, free Q&A session.
Philip co-founded LSFF in 2004. He is also the short film programmer for the BFI London Film Festival, and works as a freelance programmer at the Cork Film Festival, Ireland, and the Branchage Festival, Jersey. Following his founding of the Halloween Society short film club in the 1990s, he has since also worked as a programmer for the Curzon Soho, Latitude music festival, the East End Film Festival, and other film events.
Glasgow Short Film Festival Director Matt Lloyd will quiz Philip about his various short film projects, and about programming LSFF, what excites him in a short film submission and, possibly more importantly, what turns him off. You’ll have the chance to put your own questions to Philip.
Suitable for filmmakers and anyone interested in festivals and film programming.
