Woodlands Anti-Racist Film Club – Taste Of Mango (2023)
(5.30pm – doors open, 6pm – screening starts, 8pm – discussion)
Woodlands Community,
Sleepwalking into submerged depths of memory, this fascinating film tenderly untangles the knots of the past.
Filmmaker Chloe Abrahams’ affectionate and frank feature documentary debut unpeels the layers of her family history to reveal the fibres that bind mothers and daughters. Three generations, spanning London to Sri Lanka, are woven into this poetic, meditative film that flows through time.
Content warning – Contains references to sexual violence, child sex abuse and domestic abuse.
