The story of British serial killer John Christie, who committed most or all of his crimes in the titular terraced house, and the miscarriage of justice involving Timothy Evans. This disturbing drama is based on one of the most notorious criminal cases in British legal history, even taking dialogue from court cases, and capturing the feeling of London at one of the toughest moments in the city’s history.
Screening as part of Bleak Week: Cinema of Despair season, presented in partnership with the American Cinematheque and Prince Charles Cinema.
