Time Out Award Winner "Best Live Stand up " 1999
Herald "Angel" Winner 1999
Perrier Award Nominee 1999
City Life Manchester "Best live Performance" 1999.
At just 23yrs of age,Ross Noble from a suburb of Newcastle in the Uk has already established himself as the world's most dangerously talented and original comedian. His career began almost eight yrs ago when as a 15yr old Ross decided that the best way to achieve his ambition to travel the world would be to "get an act together" and join the circus. "A young man with prodigious talent that causes all who survey him to be awestruck" The Age Melbourne.
After many months successfully performing in the shopping malls of the North East and just before Billy Smarts' scouts were destined to spot the youngsters' talent, Ross' juggling partner decided to leave the act and train to become an architect.
Forced to go solo, and inspired by local stand-up's ,the young Geordie put down the juggling clubs and turned his attention to becoming a comedian. His first gig at The Newcastle Comedy Café proved to be a big success in spite of the young performer hiding in the kitchen "due to licensing laws" prior to his performance . Before too long comedy audiences had begun to embrace Ross' talent for improvisation and his refusal to follow the conformities of traditional stand up. During the past few years Ross has performed with equal success throughout the UK and taken his show throughout the world to cities including....... Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Montreal, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Dubai, Prague, Dublin and Brisbane. At the 1999 Edinburgh Festival his show "Laser Boy" won a Herald Angel Award for outstanding performance after their comedy critic wrote suggesting that---
"To save everyone the trouble the Perrier Award should be handed to him now" The Herald.
"Ross Noble looks set to become a major star" Time Out.
