I make jewellery, other accessories and greetings cards from broken things, old necklaces, bits of electrical items, toys, etc. that I recycle into something new. Hence the name, 'Squinty', everything is handmade and probably nowhere near perfect! My name and logo are also inspired but the Clyde Arc bridge, known locally as the Squinty Bridge, and I live and work near it.
I like unusual, quirky items and like using colours and textures that might normally not be used together. Everything is re-used, except for earring parts, for hygiene reasons. A lot of the beads and items that I use come from charity shops, other bits come from end of line, clearance sales, and donations from lovely people who are clearing out their jewellery boxes.
