Photo: main logo. Back for a second year with an exciting weekly public lecture series starting on the 10th of April, 7pm, Boyd Orr building, university Avenue.

The lectures are all featuring cutting edge, relevant science and are intended for those who may be new to science as well as those with a particular interest.

The Festival will also include permanent exhibitions at The Hunterian, a Saturday Science Club, a special schools programme and much more.

Family Days

We have two Family fun days in June 7th and 15th (15th ties in with west end festival parade day), which feature lots of exciting activities and shows for the whole family. Amongst the many activities, Heather'the weather' Reid is giving a talk for us on our last family day on June 15th. We also have a great show about Bionic ears.

All events are free.

21st May, Salter's Chemistry Festival Bob Hill, P7-S1, Salter's Chemistry Festival - for P7 and S1 pupils entertaining pupils with two captivating chemical experiments, a chemistry who-dunnit challenge and a science show.

11th June, Science Taster Days all day, S4-6, University of Glasgow applicants are invited to a programme of taster sessions to show what to expct from life at GU.

Open to All June 7th, ScienceHorizons GUSF, 11am, 3pm, adults, ScienceHorizons - What sort of future you want? Sciencehorizons is an opportunity for you to have your say. And it doesn?t stop there - your views will help the government understand what people think about how science and technology might change our lives.

2-15th June, Big Book of Science Experiments free CD GUSF all, A free CD has been produced and packed with fun experiments. The experiments have formal teaching notes and are made up of things found in any typical supermarket.
