Photo: stairwell sisters. The third Glasgow Americana Festival brings to the city an exciting programme of Americana music with fantastic performers from near and far.

There will be eight great gigs at eight different venues including the CCA, Tron Theatre, The Twisted Wheel, Classic Grand and Bar Brel. The Stairwell Sisters will perform at the Royal Concert Hall.

"I am pleased that we now have a festival lasting eight days, compared to only three shows when we kicked things off three years ago," said Kevin Morris, of the Fallen Angels Club, now celebrating five years of promoting music in Scotland.

"There's an excellent range of music on offer with great acts whose presence really puts the Festival on the Scottish music festival map.
